At TopSpot, our commitment to our clients starts with our team. We always strive to hire extraordinary people who will bring the passion, confidence, eagerness to learn and a positive attitude that is necessary to set us apart from other companies. That being said, we are pretty fond of our team members and rely on their knowledge, growth & passion to help us be an extension of your company. We highlight different TopSpotters each month so you can see why we believe we have the best team out there.

June Team Member Spotlight: Lauren Kunze, Team Lead

How long have you been working at TopSpot, and what do you do here?

Lauren Kunze, TopSpot Team LeadI have been at TopSpot for about four and a half years now. I started with the team as an SEO Specialist and about a year later, I moved into a Team Lead role, where I manage one of our Customer Relationship Teams.

As the manager of our team, my priorities include delivering the best results for our clients, while making sure I focus on my team members’ personal goals and professional growth. I have been humbled to work with some of our clients the entire time I’ve been with TopSpot and I’ve truly enjoyed becoming their partner, watching their growth and learning more about what makes them successful.

With TopSpot continuing to grow as a company, there are constant opportunities for internal growth. I’m looking forward to being a part of it all as we continue to add more Customer Relationship Teams and the new roles that present themselves along the way.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

For the longest time, I wanted to be a teacher. Every morning, my best friend and I would visit each one of our former teachers from years before. I always thought they were the smartest people I knew – they were my heroes and I wanted to be just like them.

Once I became a little bit older and found new passions, I learned very quickly there was a creative side to me, as well, that I wanted to explore how to make into a career. It wasn’t until my last year of college someone discussed digital marketing in one of my lectures and all the opportunities that were opening within this new industry at the time. It’s been very cool to be a part of that.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within the company, whose job would you want?

To live out my dream of becoming a teacher, I admire our new Education Manager, Julia Karnezis, and how she has been working to make sure we’re our best selves.

Julia is fantastic about providing her own advice and the advice of others, through training or just a quick message. There’s a quote she provided me at a time when I was struggling internally and it’s always stuck with me. I make sure to share it and what it means to me with any new team member that joins our team.

Change comes from new habits, from acting as if, from experiencing the inevitable discomfort of becoming”

What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

My favorite thing to do is travel. I generally take my vacation days in large chunks to take some really great trips far away from my norm. One of the best trips I’ve taken recently was my honeymoon to South Africa – it was life-changing. I love learning about new cultures, experiencing new foods and seeing new worlds. I’m very excited about some upcoming trips we have in the works, including Thailand and Sicily!

What do you want people to know about TopSpot that they may not know already?

If they don’t know it already, TopSpot is truly dedicated to their company values and establishing an environment to allow for growth. With such a passion for learning and sharing my knowledge with others, I always appreciate the ongoing efforts TopSpot contributes to seeing us become the best team we can be – from monthly status meetings to personal one on ones to opportunities for promotion. Whether someone has worked here for a year or for five years, the team is constantly challenged with external and internal goals to keep your day to day new and exciting. The people who have shown an interest in my own growth have made a major impact on my life and my career and I’ll be able to have that with me always!
