Meet Andrea Esquinca, TopSpot SEO Specialist
How long have you been working at TopSpot, and what do you do here?
I’ve been working at TopSpot for about a year and a half as an SEO Specialist and have recently started to help with training. In my role as an SEO Specialist, I’m constantly looking for new opportunities that will help improve my client’s organic traffic and rankings.
The best feeling is seeing your client ranking in the first position on the first page of Google.
Before working at TopSpot, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
During my college years, I interned at a company that offered corporate team building and soft skill training workshops that incorporated improv. I grew up watching the show Whose Line Is It Anyway, so I immediately thought it would be a cool experience. I got to work closely with companies from different industries and improvisers that were training in the Second City.
What has been your favorite project at TopSpot?
My favorite project was working on the most recent website launch for TopSpot’s very first client, Bison Profab. It felt very rewarding to be part of a project that would continue to help grow their business, as we have been doing for 16 years.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Since I moved from Chicago about 2 years ago, I still try to explore Houston in my free time. I love finding new local coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Some of my favorite spots include Common Bond Bakery, Postino Wine Café, El Tiempo, and Pastry War.
I also LOVE to travel. I recently got back from a trip to Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand and am currently planning a trip to New York City.
Last but certainly not least, I love spending time with my 75-pound English Bulldog named Pumba. He’s not very active and prefers car rides instead of walks. He’s the best companion when it comes to binge-watching our favorite shows, like Shark Week. He’ll be turning 5 this month.
If you were tasked with choosing 3 words to describe TopSpot, what would they be?
- Challenging (in a good way, of course!)
Here are a few things Andrea’s Team Members have to say about her via our internal “Cheers” platform, TinyPulse:
Great work on the year-end-review for our client! Your data showing recommendations implemented in 2018 and results of those strategies went a long way in impressing the client and building confidence in our work. Your screenshots from HotJar and Google Analytics were powerful in showing the improvement in user engagement from your recommendations. Thanks for your hard work!
HUGE high-five for figuring out how to use Google Tag Manager to update page titles and meta descriptions for a client that doesn’t give us CMS access. Love the problem solving, creativity, and the flexing of those technical SEO muscles. Looking forward to seeing the impact it has for your clients and their leads!
The SEO/CI audit you did for your client was amazing! All of the observations and recommendations were so helpful and exactly what we and the client were looking for. Thank you for crushing this not-so-traditional audit request and turning it around so quickly!
