Meet Rebecca Rodriguez, TopSpot SEO Specialist
How long have you been working at TopSpot, and what do you do here?
I’ve been an SEO Specialist here at TopSpot for two and a half years. I work with businesses to reach their goals by improving organic traffic and rankings for their websites. I also work closely with paid search and conversion optimization specialists to develop integrated strategies from different digital marketing channels.
What is your favorite part about working for TopSpot?
My favorite part about working at TopSpot is… well, there are two: One, working with amazing people every day who truly care about your professional growth and development. The culture and environment here are unmatched and everyone is always willing to help where they can. Two, my clients, who I’ve built a strong relationship with over the past couple of years.
What would you want people to know about TopSpot that they may not already know?
TopSpot makes an effort to celebrate you whether it’s recognizing your efforts each quarter through Top Team, providing a birthday lunch each month for everyone’s birthday, or celebrating soon-to-be parents and engagements. I just got engaged recently and TopSpot sent me a very sweet gift box. It’s the small things that TopSpot does here that make you feel appreciated.
What is your most treasured possession?
I collect dolls from around the world – any doll that showcases the culture of the country I’m visiting is down my alley. I started collecting dolls when I was very young, maybe six, and my grandmother gave me a doll I wasn’t allowed to play with. My parents were very annoyed with my grandmother because how could you give a six-year-old a doll and tell them not to play with it? Well, it ended up not being a problem for me. When I started traveling more, I found dolls in many countries and that’s how I started this perfect collection of dolls from Spain, Morocco, Italy, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico. It’s not always easy finding dolls in other countries, for example, I go to Puerto Rico every year to visit family and I have yet to find a doll there!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to do the usual: travel, eat, hang out with friends, watch baseball (I used to be an Astros Shooting Star!), but my absolute favorite thing to do is go salsa dancing. You can find me out dancing once a weekend, but I used to go 3 times a week! Also, my mom has the cutest dachshund and I love hanging out with her too.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Since I was 10, I’ve been pretty much undefeated in Connect 4. I probably should enter into a competition for it to put my talent to use.
Here are a few things Rebecca’s Team Members have to say about her via our internal “Cheers” platform, TinyPulse:
Thank you for all of your help with the accounts that you recently transitioned!! I really appreciate the time you took to help with all of the aspects of the transition. Having meetings with both of you helped me understand each business and I am excited to start working on them!
Thank you a million for answering my endless questions! You have been so helpful every single time and I’ve learned so much. Thanks for always taking the time to show me something new!
Rebecca, you have been so helpful, informative, and thorough during my training. When we sat in on your meetings you didn’t just run through them with clients, you made them educational experiences for us. By taking the extra time to review your presentations behind the scenes, I felt more prepared going into mock strategy and audit presentations. Thank you for being an awesome SEO role model!
