On September 15th, 2003, TopSpot was born and Bison Profab, which we still work with today, became our first official client. Now, we look back and credit the last 20+ years of growth to the trust our Team and Clients have put in us.
While we started with only five team members (all of which are still team members today), we now employ over 100 people in our Houston office and have 20 sales representatives located throughout the US.
We do not have a cookie-cutter type approach with our set up and management process. Each new account is reviewed with a fresh perspective to address the needs of every individual client. Our budgets, strategies, and engagements are made to be flexible to ensure we are aligned with our clients’ goals. We take great care in crafting strategies to ensure each of our clients is set up for success and that we not only represent TopSpot well but the client through their web presence, as well. It’s important to us to not just take on a client for a sale. We feel better walking away if we know from the beginning that our approaches aren’t aligned.

As a team, we have worked very hard to establish and uphold Partnerships with both Google and Microsoft that we feel benefit the businesses we work with.
TopSpot is one of the only Premier Google Partners in Houston that currently holds specializations in all five allowed areas.
The program is designed to highlight agencies that have a record of retaining accounts, delivering strong performance and growth. Being in this program means we have dedicated representatives (Strategic Partner Manager, Account Manager, and Trainer) that work with us on everything from customer service to AdWords account strategies.
We also have access to betas before they are released to the public as well as special incentives for our current and prospective clients.
TopSpot is also a proud member of the Microsoft Ads Select SMB Partner Program. As a Microsoft Ads Select SMB Partner, we can pass the following benefits onto our clients:
- Technology Enablement – We have access to Microsoft Ads’ programmatic account management portal (which provides support for managing large volume accounts). We are also given the option to participate in betas before they are released to the public!
- Dedicated Account Management and Support that gives us access to additional resources, training programs, account reviews, and special training events.
- We also partner with Microsoft ads to put on events from time to time created to educate our current and prospective clients.
TopSpot is also in the Google Analytics Certified Partner Program as a member of the Google Analytics Service Partner track.
By achieving this status, it means that we have demonstrated advanced expertise in Analytics and delivered value-adding services to our clients. As a Google Analytics Service Partner, we now have access to additional resources and communities, early access to new features, exclusive training and opportunities to work with the Google Analytics Solutions Engineering, Product Management and Marketing teams. We are the only Houston agency with this status.

The B-SMART Method®
In January of 2016, we officially trademarked one of our core strategies that we reference in all of our online marketing.
Whether we are creating a sitemap for a new website or doing initial keyword research for a new paid search account, The B-SMART Method® is utilized.
Each letter within B-SMART represents the different ways in which potential customers may be searching for a business’s products or services. Our methodology allows us to identify the audience who is most likely searching for your products or services, which means that they will be more prone to request a quote or give you a phone call.

Analytics & Measuring What Matters
At TopSpot, we look beyond the metrics and make sure that in our approach we are delivering the right quality of leads that match our clients’ businesses versus reporting on numbers only.
This approach led us to develop our very own proprietary tracking software, LOOP Analytics for our clients, which launched in 2017. Since then, we have been working on creating additional features that provide even more insights into our clients’ website’s user behavior.
Some of LOOP’s current features include:
- First and Last Touch Channels for Form Submissions - Shows how visitors initially found the website and if another source was used on a different visit before converting.
- Annotations Feature – Allows users to input notes for each lead to track whether a lead was quoted, irrelevant or pending. These notes are also included when exporting the lead data.
- Visitor Profiles - Gives insight into each website visitor’s overall experience and how each visitor is using the website in their overall research phase. You can drill down to view detailed information about each interaction on the website, including the number of visits, different pages visited each time, form submissions, how many visits occurred before them filling out a form and the number of days between their initial visit and the visit that lead to a form submission.
At TopSpot, customer satisfaction is something we take very seriously.
While we work with clients all over the country, we still promote as much in-person interaction as possible. We have found that an in-person meeting with a client can make all the difference when trying to work through an issue and will do what it takes to make that happen, regardless of the location.
We also have a team member solely dedicated to customer success and communication.
