TopSpot Team Member Spotlight: Nicole Wolfe

At TopSpot, we value our Team Members and appreciate the unique strengths they bring to their roles. Each month, we showcase some of the people we are lucky enough to work with every day. Today, we are shining the Spotlight on Nicole Wolfe. She is a writer, painter, wife, cat mom and an incredible Teammate to us all.

Meet Nicole Wolfe, Content Manager

How long have you been working at TopSpot and what do you do here?

I am the Content Manager here at TopSpot and I have been here for nearly two years. Along with the incredible Beth Shockley, I work on a lot of the marketing materials we create for the company – blogs, case studies, internal and external documentation, awards and more. Basically, I write all day and I love it.

What led you to this role at TopSpot?

It definitely wasn’t a direct path. I spent nine years as a researcher for a local newspaper while freelancing in social media and marketing. When I left, I continued to work in marketing and completed my Master’s in Communications. I found TopSpot by chance when looking for a new opportunity that would let me settle into a role with a great company.

I love knowing that what I am working on somehow, someway contributes to and highlights the successes of our Team.

What accomplishments are you proud of?

Despite not taking the traditional path through college, I am very proud of my two degrees. I started going to college not long after leaving high school but ending up stopping and working full-time. Several years later, I went back and completed my Bachelors in Writing and Literature, while still working full-time, freelancing, and volunteering. Then, a few years later, I started working on my Masters in Communications, again, while working full-time. I am always trying to learn more and would love to go back to school at least one more time. It was my goal as a child to have a Ph.D., but I will settle for having two graduate degrees in interesting fields.

Which of our Core Values resonates with you the most?

Be Better Than Yesterday. To me, this means to always strive to be your best, but also to give yourself grace for those days that don’t go as planned. I am always working towards being a better Team member, friend, and wife. And to do that, I try to let go of the mistakes of yesterday and work to do my best today.

Who or what has been your biggest influence?

My family is easily my biggest influence. They all inspire me with the things they teach me about life, love, and happiness. My brother, Ryan, shows me what it means to be strong and be true to myself. My other brother, Cade, shows me what joys come from having a generous heart. My sister reminds me to grow every day and always be learning. My parents have taught me what unconditional love looks like.

My husband is a courageous, smart man who makes me laugh every day. Without him by my side, I know I would not be where I am today.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I am a huge animal lover and have two cats I love dearly. My lotto dream is to one day run an animal sanctuary. When not snuggling with my pets, I also read everything I can, draw or paint, and other creative endeavors. My motto is I would rather be busy than bored, so I am always trying to do something with my hands or my brain.

What is your most prized possession?

When I was 15, I was babysitting a couple of kids for the week. As I left one day, I happened to mention it was my birthday. Later that afternoon, the two kids showed up at my door with 42 cents in change wrapped up in Smurf wrapping paper. I was so touched that these children wanted to give me a present so bad that they gathered up their money and brought it to me. I framed those coins and the wrapping paper as a reminder that generosity comes in many forms, big or small.
