TopSpot Internet Marketing Recognized at 30th Annual AMA Crystal Awards

Now in its 30th year, the Houston AMA Crystal Awards continued their tradition in an even bigger way with 24 new categories, including the one that resulted in a win for TopSpot in the Google Analytics category. Entries were judged on how well Google Analytics was used to evolve strategies that delivered results. As a company who prides themselves on using data to drive our client recommendations and strategies, we were ecstatic to have two finalists in this category, one of which won the award.

The winning strategy for Nationwide Plastics was derived from a combination of referral traffic coming to the site from a number of DIY blogs and internal site search data showing users searching for curtain rods. Nationwide Plastics’ Customer Relationship Teamsaw an opportunity in adding a new landing page to their website after seeing the referral and site search data in Google Analytics. After ensuring that it aligned with the client’s business goals, they moved forward with the acrylic curtain rods landing page.  Over the first 8 months, the new landing page was live, it saw a 7.95% conversion rate and generated an additional 237 form submissions, bringing in many new opportunities for the plastics manufacturer.

When asked what it means to receive this recognition, Jillian Fortin, TopSpot’s Web Department Manager says “For me, going to work every day means getting to create great things with amazing folks (who also happen to be some pretty smart cookies). Not only was I proud to represent TopSpot at this year’s AMA Houston Crystal Awards Gala, but it was an honor taking home the Google Analytics Crystal Award during the first year it was offered!”
