TopSpot Internet Marketing recognized at 2018 Houston AMA Crystal Awards

TopSpot Internet Marketing is thrilled to announce that their team was recognized with 3 awards at the 2018 Crystal Awards, which is hosted by the American Marketing Association’s Houston Chapter.

This year, 87 categories were represented with the branding, social media, website, online marketing and it was up to twenty-two judges from a variety of industries including online marketing, PR, higher education and agencies and non-profits to determine the winners. Scores were based on objectives, strategies tactics, message alignment and results, with the results accounting for twice as many points as the other areas.

We were honored to be one of the winning finalists in three separate categories, bringing home Crystal Awards in the SEO category for Online Marketing as well as Best B2B Website & Most Improved Website.

Online Marketing: SEO Category

Since 1923, Fuji Electric has been a global leader in manufacturing power electronics products, ranging from distribution & control equipment, semiconductors, blowers, AC Drives, HMI, instrumentation to UPS systems, transit door systems, and steam turbine generators. As a Pay Per Click client of TopSpot’s since June 2016, they were noticing lead growth coming from paid search traffic but were wanting to see improvement in organic traffic and leads as well. 1 year after beginning their PPC program, they began ongoing search engine optimization services with TopSpot. From there, a multi-faceted digital strategy was put into place that was focused on improving the website’s organic traffic & leads (both online and offline).

With the use of search query data from the PPC program guiding the SEO keyword strategy & conversion optimization best practices, Fuji’s organic traffic increased by 79% within the first 7 months. When looking at the same date range, online & offline leads generated by organic traffic increased by nearly 300 total leads and 13%.

Best B2B Website: Agency Category

Newpark Resources Inc. is a global technical leader in fluid systems and matting products who provides value-added drilling fluids solutions, products and services to thousands of wells around the world. Newpark contracted TopSpot to design and develop a responsive website that showcased their three distinct divisions and a better mobile experience for their visitors. The team created a fully responsive website that features a clean navigation utilizing a mega drop-down & footer. PDFs from the previous website were also converted into landing pages, providing additional opportunity for organic traffic growth and a more engaging user experience overall.

The overall layout and ease of use of the site played a critical role in the website’s 879% increase in online form submissions from organic traffic and 718% increase in form submissions from paid search traffic over the first fourteen months.

Most Improved Website: Agency Category

Bayou City Bolt & Supply, a fastener distributor for the Gulf Coast area since 1962, was running a Pay Per Click program with TopSpot when they decided to move forward with a new website with the goal of driving more form submissions through their site. Utilizing behavior and search query data from Google Analytics, the team built a site that focused on providing a great user experience through content and ease of use.

Within 90 days of launching, the new website’s form submissions had increased by 775%. This trend continued to improve thanks to the ongoing optimization efforts of Bayou City Bolt’s Customer Relationship Team. 9 months after launching, the site’s form submissions had increased by 796.49%.
