TopSpot Named a 2021 Top Workplace by the Houston Chronicle

TopSpot is proud to have been named to the Houston Chronicle’s list of the Top Workplaces in Houston for 2021. This is the second year in a row we have been named on the list, and the third year overall.

The list is comprised of 175 small, medium, and large businesses throughout Houston and is based on the anonymous survey feedback of their Team Members. Survey questions are focused on 15 specific drivers of engaged workplace culture including leadership, cooperation, communication, work-life balance, alignment, and connection.

At TopSpot, we know we could not be a successful company without our incredibly talented Team Members. We strive to hire extraordinary people who will bring the passion, confidence, eagerness to learn and positive attitude that is necessary to set us apart.

This recognition is due to the incredible individuals that make up our Team. They show up every day with passion and energy to influence, inspire and motivate each other. From web design and development to analytics and digital marketing, our Team is comprised of hard-working, compassionate people, each of whom contributes to making TopSpot a great place to work.

TopSpot’s President, David Underwood, had this to say a few months ago when asked about his goals for TopSpot’s future:

“We’re focused on making TopSpot a great place to work: today, tomorrow, next week… Where it leads us five years from now, is hopefully we are still on the Houston Chronicle’s best places to work list.”

In addition to being listed as a Top Workplace in Houston, TopSpot also earned two culture badges based on their Team Member feedback. These are awarded to Top Workplaces whose feedback statements are in the top 25% of similar organizations everywhere.

Communicating strategy and vision to all team members is a high priority at TopSpot, having a growing staff that operates in both remote and hybrid work environments.

In April of 2020, our monthly in-person Breakfast Meetings evolved into bi-weekly online Breakfast Meetings. These meetings are held in a town hall format, where TopSpot leaders review the financial trends of TopSpot, business goals, Client stories, and important company updates to keep everyone on the same page. This is done to ensure that everyone at TopSpot is up to speed regarding our growth, expenditures and progress.

At TopSpot, we take immense pride in doing meaningful work for the businesses we partner with each day. In fact, we speak to the importance of doing meaningful work for our clients in our Company Mission Statement. From day one, Team Members are taught that their work will impact the companies we partner with through online success and business growth.

This messaging is carried through to our digital strategies, website designs, development work and client communication. We are proud of our Team’s commitment to our clients and often showcase their work throughout our blog, and with our case studies and award wins.
