Award-Winning Manufacturing Website Receives Two W³ Awards

TopSpot is proud to announce we were awarded two Silver W³ Awards for the design and development of the Midwest Timer website. The website won in the Manufacturing Category and as well as the Structure and Navigation category.

With over 5,000 entries to choose from this year, it’s an honor to be among the winning websites, web marketing, video, mobile, and social content created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. The W³ Awards is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.

Midwest Timer

Midwest Timer wanted to create a new site, one that would be mobile-friendly and would bring in more leads for the company. As a manufacturer of electromechanical timers and synchronous motors for the OEM industry, they wanted to be noticed by more of their potential clients. Already a client with TopSpot since 2015, it was a natural fit for Midwest Timer to choose us to design and develop a new industrial website as well as supplement their paid search strategy with SEO.

The new Midwest Timer Services website has a clean, user-friendly design, that showcases their products, capabilities and their brand.

Creating the New Website

Using SEO as the foundation for the infrastructure, the pages were designed to provide multiple opportunities for a user to request a quote or call the business. These include unique forms and calls to action throughout each page while also providing detailed information about their products.

Other new website features included a photo gallery that showcases their timer and motor models, a glossary and a section focused on the industries Midwest Timer Service commonly works with and the products they manufacture that serve each one. Of particular interest in the navigation was the creation of sub-category buckets that could be seen under the navigation bar and still in the upper part of the page. This special navigation can also be seen in the mobile design.

The Results

From the time the site was launched in December 2018, it was apparent that this integrated strategy was working. Phone calls increased by 31% compared to the previous year. The new SEO initiatives helped the Paid Search program, as well, causing the cost-per-click to decrease by 24.16% while increasing form submissions by 200.0%.

Most importantly, the Midwest Timer Services team was happy with the outcome of the redesign and the new site’s functionality.

We are very pleased with the design and it looks very professional. Would absolutely recommend TopSpot to other companies, and have done so.”

Keith Chapman, Vice President of Operations

This award is a testament to our team’s commitment, hard work and focus on driving business growth for our clients, which we were grateful to have been given the opportunity to do for Midwest Timer Service!
