TopSpot Wins at 2020 Houston AMA Crystal Awards

For the fifth year in a row, TopSpot Internet Marketing is honored to have been recognized at the Crystal Awards, produced by the Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

This year, TopSpot was named as a finalist in four categories – B2B Website, Most Improved Website, Digital Marketing: Google Analytics and Digital Marketing: Paid Search. This year’s awards had 287 entries in categories ranging from branding to advertising to website design and everything in between. The entries were reviewed by judges around the country who are experts in their fields.

Introducing our 2020 Winners & Finalists

Winner: B2B Website for Steel Warehouse

Steel Warehouse is a family-owned supplier of premier steel coil with distribution, shipping, and processing capabilities. When they came to TopSpot, they wanted to boost their web presence with a responsive website that drove online leads and provided a great user experience.

The TopSpot Team began by creating a website structure that would make it easy for users to find the products they needed. This was accomplished by splitting the product pages into three main categories (Products by Spec, Products by Type and Products by Manufacturer (OEM) Spec) and increasing the amount of content throughout the website. Professional photography and video complemented the new content and made for an improved user experience.

Winner: Digital Marketing – Google Analytics for Regal Plastics

Regal Plastics is a plastics distributor and custom fabrication company and a longtime client of TopSpot’s.

While goal setting for the beginning of the calendar year, their Customer Relationship Team identified an older blog post about the use of their Polygal plastic sheeting as a pergola cover that was receiving steady organic traffic but not many leads. While the website itself had a pergola and awnings page, Google Analytics data indicated it had the potential to drive more traffic and leads and become a growth opportunity. Utilizing data, the team crafted an integrated digital strategy that drove increased traffic, leads and sales for their pergola covers.

Finalist: Most Improved Website for Rol-Tec

Rol-Tec is a custom-molded rubber roller manufacturing company in need of a new website. As a current PPC client of TopSpot’s, they understood that their current website was hindering the number of online leads they could be receiving, in part due to the lack of usability on mobile devices.

The TopSpot Team designed a responsive website that was focused on driving leads for the manufacturer. The design uses content, images and iconography to inform users while allowing them to navigate through the website in a cohesive manner.

Finalist: Digital Marketing – Paid Search for Cold Jet

Cold Jet is a global leader in environmentally responsible cleaning, surface preparation, parts refinishing and dry ice manufacturing systems. Though their in-house pay-per-click program was producing leads, they wanted to increase the quality of the leads received and turned to TopSpot for assistance.

The TopSpot Team set out to improve the quality of leads generated by paid search, which would in turn increase the amount of PPC-driven sales for the manufacturer.
